Resources

I get a lot of requests asking what software / apps / books I recommend. I thought it would be helpful to create a list of my favorite resources.

Many of them have changed and enriched my life in many ways. I hope you’ll find them as useful as I do. Enjoy!

Improving Your Memory

Often described as ”digital flashcards on steroids”. This programme is much more efficient than traditional study methods, you can either greatly decrease your time spent studying, or greatly increase the amount you learn.

Protecting Your Time
  • Blocking websites
Unless you’re a Buddhist monk, you probably spend too much time browsing various time-devouring websites. Download these programmes to set which ones should be blocked and for how long.

Leechblock – for Mozilla
StayFocusd – for Chrome

Freedom – it works literally everywhere. What’s more, currently, it’s the only distraction management solution for iPad and iPhone. It’s also the only app which can cut off your internet access. With other plugins, you can simply uninstall or disable them in your browser. Freedom can’t be bargained with in any way. That’s what makes it my favorite program of this kind.

Languages
  • Find something to talk about

It doesn’t matter if you practise speaking with your language partner, teacher or you just talk to yourself. The following websites cover almost every socially acceptable topic which might crop up during your conversations.
